Alfie Joey

alfie_joey.jpgAlfie’s background is both interesting and unusual. Having trained to be a priest he gave up the religious life to become a toy demonstrator at Harrods, but he has now found his true calling. Alfie creates a rich tapestry with his cheerful blend of tall tales, keen observations, puns and quality impressions. His animated and energetic performance always charms and entertains.

Amongst a plethora of TV credits is his starring role in Channel 4 drama Mad Mack, he’s currently in Johnny Vegas’ comedy drama Ideal on BBC 3. Alfie devised the concept of, and writes sketches for The Unbroadcastable Radio Show, a live topical sketch show which was performed at the Manchester Comedy Store.

 His 2003 sell-out solo show at the Edinburgh Festival, 'Alfie Joey’s Mini-Cabaret’ garnered rave reviews and was featured on several television networks including BBC, SKY and the Australian Comedy Channel. It gained Alfie a Chortle Award Nomination in 2004.
